Since being elected to represent the people of the 15th Senatorial District in Queens County, I have worked hard to sponsor and enact measures into law. Chapter 29 - increases the membership of the New York City Transit Authority Track Safety Task Force to allow a representative from the Department of Labor. (S.6404)
Chapter 41 - allows New York City to streamline the annual financial disclosure statements required of City employees and officers to be consistent with the ethical considerations outlined in the conflict of interest laws. (S.6331a)
Chapter 62 - requires the Special Task Force on the Apparel Industry to submit annual reports to the Legislature and the Governor stating the number of complaints, investigations and results. (S.4473)
Chapter 76 - increases special accidental death benefits for the surviving spouses and children of police and fire officers killed in the line of duty to provide a cost of living increase of approximately 3%. (S.6733)
Chapter 91 - amends the law governing the Task Force on Toll Plaza Air Quality to make the task force more effective and efficient in carrying out its requirements and duties. (S.6488b)
